Romans 8:28

One of my favorite verses of scripture is Romans 8:28 which says;

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose “K.J.V.”

To me this is very good news. This says that it doesn’t matter what we may have to go through, how many hills we must climb, how many heart aches or how many disappointments, whatever we bring upon ourselves, and whatever satin himself throw our way, it’s “ALL” working together for our good. I can think of a few times when God made a bad situation work for my good and His glory within my life personally, but today I want to talk about a man who suffered many advercities, which ALL worked for his good, and the good of his entire family.

A boy by the name of Joseph was hated by his brothers because he was favored by their father. Joseph was eventually sold into slavery by his brothers, which lied by telling dad that Joseph was killed by wild animals. Well Joseph erned himself a position of being the right hand man, to the right hand man to the king. (Note: God was still with Joseph through the trials). Well Joseph was then accused of rapeing the wife of his boss, after rejecting her perpetual advances. This young man did many years in prison for a crime he did not commit.

Then suddenly, the king himself sent to have Joseph brought directly to hm because of a gift from God that Joseph possesed, and that he stired up. ( God’s word tell’s us that our gifts will make room for us, and set us before great men) Well, on that day brother Joseph, unexpectedly, went from the prison to being second in charge of the entire land.

For those of you who know Joseph’s story, you know that this is just a light summery of a great Romans 8:28 testimony. For those of you who don’t know brother Joseph’s story I invite you to check it out for yourself. You can find it in the word of God (The Bible)  in the book of Genesis beginning in chapter 37.

I believe that it is our attitude while going through, that determines how long we may stay in that place of darkness and brokenness, nevertheless, ALL things work together for good to them who love God, and if you love God, then YOU ARE the called according to His purpose. So if you are in a season of hardship, REST in Romans 8:28.
