United States of America, the home of the brave, the land of the free. Super power we were but that title is slipping away from us. This was never a perfect country, but it was a country that was built on Biblical principles. For the most part we were a Christian nation.
We were a nation who sought after God, a nation who reverenced God, a nation who called upon the one and only true God in times of trouble, and God was with us. More people believed in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ than not, therefore we were a blessed nation. Not a nation without problems, not without growing pains, but God’s hand was upon us and we were blessed indeed.
I’m not talking about just financial, monetary blessings, I’m talking about God’s favor and protection. It’s this favor and protection, along with the monetary blessings that has made us here in the good ol’ U.S. of A, arrogant, thinking that we have accomplished our victory’s all on our own, without God’s divine intervention.
The enemy has pulled the cover over our eyes, yes, we have been deceived. We think that with all of our wealth and prosperity that we are moving forward, but in all actuality we’re moving backward.
The moral values that we once stood strongly upon are now a thing of the past. There is very little value in the thing that we are to value most, which is human life.
In times of old, when our country faced trials and tribulations, it was that mustard seed faith in God as our higher power that delivered that sense of hope unto us. So when God is being removed, slowly but surely, out of our world view, where then does our hope come from?
I guess this is why I can clearly see the look of hopelessness on so many faces, and actions that can only manifest through a hopeless mind, heart and spirit.
The United States of America is moving further and further away from our Lord, and this is why we’re living in such perilous times, times where there truly is spiritual wickedness in high places, times when what’s right seems wrong, and whats wrong seems right to most people.
Call me old fashioned, square, out of touch; call me what you will, but my hope and faith still lie in my Almighty God and His word.
Psalm 33:12 reads as such: Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, and the people whom He hath chosen for His own inheritance.
2 Chronicles 7:14 states: If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from Heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
