Eternal freedom was given to us at The Cross on Calvary over two thousand years ago,
but; the journey to full understanding of the power in this freedom is a long, dark and winding road, which at times causes us to forget what we know,
the rains fall, the winds blow,
our enemy is ever present trying to steal freedoms righteous glow,
trying to distract us from moving in freedoms perpetual flow,
Freedom is a state of mind,
freedom will cause the eyes to open of those who are blind,
freedom is peace, even when the situations of life are unkind,
while the enemy wants us bound, freedom has the power to unbind.
This is a freedom which is not easy to receive,
a freedom which is almost too good to believe,
especially when the devil is constantly in our ear speaking words meant for nothing other than to deceive,
it’s in The Word of our God that this freedom is found, so it’s to The Word of our God is to what we must cleave.
In this freedom is found the courage to be me,
not the me that others think I should be,
but the me that my God has called, chosen and predestined me to be,
this freedom enables me to see,
not just naturally,
but also the things concerning me spiritually;
not just the here and now, but also those things lasting throughout all eternity.
Monetarily, this freedom don’t cost us a thing,
though it does require us, to, on this long road, through it all, to faith tightly cling,
it does require us to leave certain things, that on this road, we just can’t bring,
but it also delivers unto us a self worth that’s wrapped up in God’s purpose; not this world’s riches and bling,
weather rich or poor this freedom enables us, that, to our Lord we continue to gloriously sing.
This freedom supplies us with the knowing that “ALL” things are working together for our good,
it assures us, that we won’t miss a blessing for being out of place, for not standing in patient obedience like we should,
this is not a freedom to satisfy our own selfish will, but this freedom empowers us to really do what Jesus would.
Unfortunately, this freedom is not manifested over night,
it take time to realize; we don’t have to fight,
the battle is mine says The Lord, and when we wait on The Lord to do it, we can rest assured that it’s done right,
knowing that when we continue to move forward in obedience, we will see freedoms light.
But not before, at times; taking a step forward only to take two steps back,
is a key,
so keep pushing forward believing that God’s strength is made perfect in our weakness, and His hand is never slack,
remember, this is not a sprint, or a quick lap around the track,
and there’s always something to learn when we must, for a season, suffer lack.
Who The Son sets free is free indeed,
and freedom was offered to us all when Jesus laid His life down, when our sins caused Him to bleed,
our Savior has already planted the seed,
now we must be willing to follow His lead.
It’s ours already,
but we have a responsibility to walk in obedience, and to walk steady;
and even when we fall short, God’s grace and mercy is there to lift us up and set us back on the road to full manifestation of this eternal,
